The things you are enslaved to—such as money, possessions, status, control, stress, or fear—distance you from what is most important and precious to you, like health, harmony at home, and quality time with your loved ones.
If today were your last day in this world, what would you choose to do?
Some people are enslaved to their illness. Others are enslaved to work. Some are bound to money, status, or possessions.
So what are you enslaved to?
One of the women in our parent community asked me:
“Hannah, what do I do about the migraines I’ve had for 30 years? Every month I inject myself with a shot that saved my life. But recently I’ve realized that although the injection helps the migraines, it has side effects that significantly harm my health and quality of life—and I don’t want that in my life.”
She continued, “It never occurred to me to work on my migraines or consider healing them. Two weeks ago, during our community meeting, I had a migraine. You guided us through deep healing work, and I overcame the migraine without medication. I followed the healing process with the pain—and to my surprise, it disappeared.
I thought: Maybe there’s another way? Maybe I can heal my migraines and live free from injections and medication?”
I explained that a long-term illness or challenge can be like a tenant living in someone’s home for years. It may even help settle debts from the past. The tenant and the person grow used to one another.
When the person suddenly wants the tenant to leave, the tenant may resist. And sometimes—despite wanting freedom—the person is not fully ready to let it go.
Human beings are enslaved to many things, even to illnesses. The things we are enslaved to wrap around our lives and appear as something we cannot live without. They pull us away from freedom and interfere with what truly matters.
I told her:
“The first stage of healing is where you are right now. You understand that living without the illness is possible. You are ready to lift the curtain that hid that possibility for years.
You received a gift—a new possibility has opened before you: life without migraines and without medication. And you believe in it.”
There is now a path to walk—and that path lies beyond the curtain.
I reminded her that in one of my seminars (“Leaving the Bubble”) she had once set a goal: to close her business—a goal she struggled with for over a decade. It felt impossible.
Yet after deep self-healing, she found a creative way to close it.
I asked her:
Now that you’ve closed the business, what has changed? Was it worth walking the path? Is life without it really so frightening?
The answer was clear.
Only when you leave something you were enslaved to for years do you realize it was a matter of consciousness that prevented change.
Only when you look back from freedom do you see how deeply attached you once were—and how unnecessary that attachment truly was.
Are you enslaved to something that consumes your attention and interferes with your life?
If so, know this:
Ask the Creator for courage. It takes courage to change habits. It takes courage to let go. It takes courage to not know exactly what tomorrow will bring.
There is no better time than now to move from bondage to freedom.
I wish you freedom from the chains of your past—and a life of true freedom without limitation.
❤️ Hannah
